Sounds to me, like you should write ‘Old Custer’ and then pitch it to Wes Anderson as a script. 😉 Great post, McCarthy continually moved and devastated me and I am completely jealous of his talent and persistence and thankful to have his last works, which moved me in ways I’ve yet to understand. Wes Anderson is a special kind of American entertainer, my ex-sister-in-law was his assistant and it sounded like a character in one of his films.
